MY REVIEW
From the first Riley Edgewood novel I knew that she was an author to watch for. She does an amazing job of creating amazing characters and edgy story-lines. Her writing clearly expresses the conflicts and emotions the characters face.
In Rock & Release Cassidy Evans wants to have a fun filled summer with no strings attached. She meets irresistible guitarist Gage Logan and shares a strong connection with him. When rock star Luca James pops into the picture and shows an interest in her, she gets more than she bargained for. Will she go for the guy who is taking over her heart or the no strings attached fling?
What can I say about Cage? He captured my heart with his sexy words, gorgeous body and tender heart. I understood Cassidy’s unwillingness to commit and don’t fault her for contemplating being with Luca. Riley Edgewood did an amazing job of making these characters feel real. She drew me into this story and kept me interested through the end.
In Surf & Surrender, Quinn Westwood has her heart broken when Sawyer Carson leaves town without a word. Years later Sawyer returns and with him feelings resurface in Quinn that might never have left.
The story just pulled me in from the beginning. The characters were amazing. I admired Quinn’s ability to face Sawyer and seek answers. She might not have been strong willed in the beginning but she progressed as the story unfolded. Sawyer was a little harder to read, but I like the mystery. Quinn and Sawyer’s story is probably one of my favorites from the series.
In Truth & Temptation, Teagan Walker is known as the girl who sleeps around. When she meets this amazing sexy guy and has an emotional connection, she runs. On her first day of a new job she sees him and learns he is the son of the CEO of the company she is working for.
The novel is written through Teagan’s point of view which gave great insight into her mind. The chemistry between Teagan and Alec was intoxicating; the intimate scenes were sexy and written very well. The characters had a great connection; they challenged each other without overdoing it.
I definitely encourage everyone to read this series and look out for any future work that comes from Riley Edgewood.
I give Riley Edgewood's Summer Love Box Set 5 out of 5 stars.
Riley lives in Northern Virginia and spends most of her time with her characters, playing with her toddler and husband, and pretending she knows how to be an adult. Former dancer. Current writer. Lifelong lover of accessories, books, and the beach. And cats. Can't forget the kitties. Of which she has two.
