Review
I’ve
been a fan of Christina Lauren’s novels since Beautiful Bastard, but I’ve come to really enjoy the characters in
the Wild Seasons Series. Dark Wild Night is Oliver and Lola’s
story, the comic loving, sweet duo with painful pasts.
The
choice to end their marriage definitely strengthened the connection that they
share for one another. Even though Oliver regrets that decision, it’s harder
for Lola to come to that conclusion. It was a little frustrating knowing how Oliver
felt while Lola was a little clueless. Although I knew it was because of how
critical she was of herself.
The
scene where Lola draws Oliver is one of my favorite in the novel. It was a game
changer in their relationship. Christina Lauren always creates worlds and
characters that come to life and intimate scenes that are always sexy and
passionate. Oliver who is sweet and loyal in every way opens up when things get
heated. I loved seeing this completely different person.
Dark Wild
Night is undeniably a sweet, sexy and gritty read. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
