Olivia Kaspen has just discovered that her ex-boyfriend, Caleb Drake, has lost his memory. With an already lousy reputation for taking advantage of situations, Olivia must decide how far she is willing to go to get Caleb back. Wrestling to keep her true identity and their sordid past under wraps, Olivia’s greatest obstacle is Caleb’s wicked, new girlfriend; Leah Smith. It is a race to the finish as these two vipers engage in a vicious tug of war to possess a man who no longer remembers them. But, soon enough Olivia must face the consequences of her lies, and in the process discover that sometimes love falls short of redemption.
My Review
The first novel I read of Tarrryn Fisher was the Never Never series she
co-authored with Colleen Hoover.
This novel was intense. I didn’t
know what to think in the end. It left me unsatisfied, angry yet grateful that
it was a different kind of story.
The characters were filled with
flaws yet were likable. Each time Olivia
said or did something to Caleb I was torn. No, no, what are you doing was a
constant saying in my mind. Olivia’s actions were totally crazy most of the
novel but I really liked her as a character. As for Caleb, well…what’s not to
like. He was charming, funny and unpredictable.
When I was finished with the
novel I immediately Goggled her other books and I’m happy to know that there is
more to Olivia and Caleb’s story. The
Opportunist is the first in the Love
Me with Lies series. I would have hated Tarryn if she had left this story
where it ended.
